She who has the right to say, “I told you so”

Today is the day people honor their mothers. Though according to Life’s Manual, it is a commandment that we do so, therefore not only on the second Sunday of May. I wasn’t able to give anything special for her today, and it kinda made me feel bad (promise babawi ako Ma pag nakakaipon na ko, hahaha). She’s one of God’s greatest gifts for me, and I will forever be grateful, though most of the time I REALLY suck at showing it. And after some shit I’ve been through, I can now say that everything your mother warned you about is so true. “But there’s a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother’s story, because hers is where yours begin.”
